The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ
The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ, originally published in December 1908 by Levi H Dowling is an account of Jesus’ life purportedly transcribed from the Akashic Records. The Aquarian Gospel documents the 18 years of Jesus’ life missing from the Bible where he travels to the wisdom centers of India, Tibet, Persia, Assyria, Greece, and Egypt. In each city, he is mentored by their respective religious leaders and then is tested and teaches them, essentially proving he is ‘God’s chosen one’. The Aquarian Gospel uses ‘Christ’ to exemplify the seemingly perfect human being and illustrates how Jesus was not born as The Christ, rather, through effort, devotion and desire, he enables himself to be fit to become the vessel of Christ and further show the way back to God via his lifestyle and teachings as the example we must model our own lives after if we seek salvation.

Spoonful of Courage: Equations to Find Grace in Life's Challenges
HOW TO TRANSFORM YOUR THINKING USING A SIMPLE EQUATION While everyone faces challenges, few understand why and how they should respond to them. Through inspirational stories and simple equations, this book shows you how to see your problems using a different set of lenses. What makes Spoonful of Courage unique among other Christian self-improvement books is the way it’s presented—through formulas. Most people adopt a mental framework which confines them. This self-improvement book uses equations to transform how you see your circumstances, encouraging you to embrace grace thinking. Instead of confining you, these formulas help define and refine your thinking. Through these inspirational stories, you’ll discover: - You don’t have to be a victim to life’s circumstances. - You don’t have to adopt a zero mentality, seeing yourself as inadequate. - You don’t have to be the hero of your story, carry the burdens of life, fear failure, and live in fear of exposure. Each spoonful explores how we see circumstances and how we see life. Big picture stuff. My hope for you as we move through the formulas—from evidence into experience—your walk with God will be viewed in a fresh and personal way. This work delves into Christian apologetics, discussing why so many people believe in a higher power seeing faith as more than an emotional crutch. This book is for you if: - Your need a dose of hope, courage, and perspective in your life challenges. - You’re looking for helpful tools to thrive in our nanosecond culture. - You want a safe place to explore the Christian faith and understand life's big picture.

9 Things a Leader Must Do: How to Go to the Next Level--And Take Others With You
Why do some leaders get and accomplish what they want as a matter of routine, while others seem to regularly experience frustration and setbacks? Why do some leaders achieve their goals and reach new heights, while others barely 'hang in there' and survive? Based on his groundbreaking psychological study of the ways that successful individuals think and behave, Dr. Henry Cloud presents a simple yet profound roadmap to help leaders-and those who want to become leaders-arrive at greater levels of personal growth and corporate influence than they previously thought were possible. The good news for all of us is that leadership success is not limited to vague notions of 'charisma' nor traditional advantages like graduate degrees and connections, but much more to a pattern of thinking and moving forward that learns from mistakes and stays focused on goals.

Unbroken and Unbowed: A History of Black Protest in America
In this compelling and informative volume, Jimmie R. Hawkins walks the listener through the many forms of Black protest in American history, from pre-colonial times though the George Floyd protests of 2020. Hawkins breaks American history into five sections, with subsections highlighting how Black identity helped to shape protest during that period. These protests include slave ship mutinies, the abolitionist movement, the different approaches to protest from Frederick Douglas, W. E. B. Dubois, and Booker T. Washington, protests led by various Black institutions, Black Lives Matter movements, and protests of today's Black athletes, musicians, and intellectuals, such as Lebron James, Beyonce, and Kendrick Lamar. Hawkins also covers the backlash to these protests, including the Jim Crow era, the Red Summer of 1919, and modern-day wars on the Black community in the form of the War on Drugs and voter suppression.

Let Me Hijack Your Mind: Restart Your Life With Freedom
In this one-of-its-kind book by the late Alyque Padamsee, he invites us to re-examine and think afresh about some of our most deeply held beliefs, from love, marriage, terrorism, leadership, money, gender, faith to education. Let Me Hijack Your Mind is Alyque's parting gift to Indians, exhorting them to throw out the old and embrace new ways of approaching everything, which will lead them towards a more exciting and contented life-and a better society and country. This is a book designed to throw everyone off-balance in a good way, because it is crammed with fresh ideas on how to live, how to dream and how to completely reset our mindset and attitudes. As Alyque says in his inimitable style: 'Get people out of stuffy thinking.'Some of the provocative questions he asks are:- Why should marriage be 'till death do us part'?- Why are terrorists breaking the law of their very own holy books?- Why are multinational companies obsessed with GNP (Gross National Product) instead of GNH (Gross National Happiness)?- Why do men fear women? And why do women hate themselves?A fun, racy and often shocking read, the book busts some of the most well-known taboos, includes life hacks drawing on his experiences in advertising and theatre, as well as new 'commandments' for the present generation.

I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist
To some, the concept of having faith in a higher power or a set of religious beliefs is nonsensical. Indeed, many view religion in general, and Christianity in particular, as unfounded and unreasonable. Norman Geisler and Frank Turek argue, however, that Christianity is not only more reasonable than all other belief systems, but is indeed more rational than unbelief itself. With conviction and clear thinking, Geisler and Turek guide readers through some of the traditional, tested arguments for the existence of a creator God. They move into an examination of the source of morality and the reliability of the New Testament accounts concerning Jesus. The final section of the book deals with a detailed investigation of the claims of Christ. This volume will be an interesting read for those skeptical about Christianity, as well as a helpful resource for Christians seeking to articulate a more sophisticated defense of their faith.

Constantine’s Sword: The Church and the Jews; A History
In a bold and moving book that is sure to spark heated debate, the novelist and cultural critic James Carroll maps the profoundly troubling two-thousand-year course of the Church’s battle against Judaism and faces the crisis of faith it has provoked in his own life as a Catholic. More than a chronicle of religion, this dark history is the central tragedy of Western civilization, its fault lines reaching deep into our culture. The Church’s failure to protest the Holocaust—the infamous “silence” of Pius XII—is only part of the story: the death camps, Carroll shows, are the culmination of a long, entrenched tradition of anti-Judaism. From Gospel accounts of the death of Jesus on the cross, to Constantine’s transformation of the cross into a sword, to the rise of blood libels, scapegoating, and modern anti-Semitism, Carroll reconstructs the dramatic story of the Church’s conflict not only with Jews but with itself. Yet in tracing the arc of this narrative, he implicitly affirms that it did not necessarily have to be so. There were roads not taken, heroes forgotten; new roads can be taken yet. Demanding that the Church finally face this past in full, Carroll calls for a fundamental rethinking of the deepest questions of Christian faith. Only then can Christians, Jews, and all who carry the burden of this history begin to forge a new future. Drawing on his well-known talents as a storyteller and memoirist, and weaving historical research through an intensely personal examination of conscience, Carroll has created a work of singular power and urgency. Constantine’s Sword is a brave and affecting reckoning with difficult truths that will touch every reader.

Awaiting the King: Reforming Public Theology
In this culmination of his highly acclaimed Cultural Liturgies project, James K. A. Smith examines politics through the lens of liturgy. What if, he asks, citizens are not only thinkers or believers but also lovers? Smith explores how our analysis of political institutions would look different if we viewed them as incubators of love-shaping practices-not merely governing us but forming what we love. How would our political engagement change if we weren't simply looking for permission to express our 'views' in the political sphere but actually hoped to shape the ethos of a nation, a state, or a municipality to foster a way of life that bends toward shalom? This book offers a well-rounded public theology as an alternative to contemporary debates about politics. Smith explores the religious nature of politics and the political nature of Christian worship, sketching how the worship of the church propels us to be invested in forging the common good. This book creatively merges theological and philosophical reflection and includes helpful exposition and contemporary commentary on key figures in political theology.
