Ever since the first celebration in 2012, the annual event has grown in popularity. and each National Gardening Week sees thousands of people sharing their love of gardening. Whether you are uplifted by seeing local blooms or find your own joy in gardening we have curated here a selection of books to inspire, enthuse and entertain you.
The theme for 2022 is "create your coronation container" thus named to celebrate the His Majesty King Charles II and his love of horticulture. The King is well known for championing the environment and so this year's theme is an opportunity to plant something to mark the beginning of his reign. You can let your imagination go wild and create something with whatever space you have, and give an additional nod to the theme by featuring the favourite flower of His Majesty (delphinium) or The Queen Consort (Alchemilla mollis). Find out more and ideas to get you started here. The Royal Horticultural Society is the UK’s leading gardening charity which aims to enrich everyone’s life through plants, and make the UK a greener and more beautiful place.
