Are You Sleeping by Kathleen Barber Read the opening extract of the brand new Kathleen Barber book before its publication on 27/12/2017

It's Not Me, it's You by Mhairi McFarlane

Sarah Broadhurst's view...

The overall message in this witty read is that even if things don’t work out, risks are worth taking. This is Mhairi’s third romantic comedy and I would recommend them all; they certainly have a lot of humour which lifts them as well as good, involved plots with genuine characters. This one involves Delia from Newcastle who gets a job in London with a dodgy PR firm, has fun developing a cartoon character, Miss Fox, and has the inevitable tussle between a new love and an old. It is warm fun, utterly delicious.

If you like Mhairi McFarlane you might also like to read books by Jane Costello, Milly Johnson and Sheila O’Flanagan.

Synopsis

It's Not Me, it's You by Mhairi McFarlane

An achingly funny story about how to be your own hero when life pulls the rug out from under your feet. From the author of the bestselling YOU HAD ME AT HELLO Delia Moss isn't quite sure where she went wrong. When she proposed and discovered her boyfriend was sleeping with someone else - she thought it was her fault. When she realised life would never be the same again - she thought it was her fault. And when he wanted her back like nothing had changed - Delia started to wonder if perhaps she was not to blame...From Newcastle to London and back again, with dodgy jobs, eccentric bosses and annoyingly handsome journalists thrown in, Delia must find out where her old self went - and if she can ever get her back.

About the Author

Mhairi McFarlane

Mhairi McFarlane was born in Scotland in 1976 and has been explaining how to pronounce her name ever since. (With a 'V', not an 'M'. Yes, that's us crazy Celts for you). She is based in Nottingham where she used to be a local journalist and now she's a freelance writer and sometime-blogger, which we all know is code for messing about on Twitter. Her first book, You Had Me At Hello, was an instant success. She has now written four books. She lives with a man and a cat.
