I am thoroughly impressed by this debut novel from R J McPherson. We charge along Evie’s journey in a relentless juggernaut of action, completely sucking the reader into the dangerous world of magic, full of twists and turns.
It's so enjoyable to meet the characters of Circle, the dynamic of the group unraveling with humour as we get to know them. Plus it helps as they are all HOT.

For fans of Young Adult, fantasy, adventure and unravelling mystery wanting to escape into a whole new world. Rochelle takes familiar magical tropes and reworks them into a refreshing original world with its own rich history and lore that the reader finds themselves immersed in.
I gasped, cried and laughed out loud reading the Darkest Price and cannot wait for the sequel. I need to spend more time in this world! I feel this is just the tip of the iceberg of the world of The Circle and I can't wait to read more to discover more about these vivacious characters. I am buzzing to get to visit the final court and see what it's like there. I especially need to hear Evie's spectacular use of the word “a**hole” ?.
