Sometimes I read a book that I get totally absorbed in. Despite knowing that I should try and grab some sleep on an overnight flight, opting to read on seemed far more important! This is a phenomenal thriller which revolves around two key characters - John, a former highly trained SEAL captain, and Nia, a girl who has grown up amid fragile circumstances causing her to retreat into a solace of technology.
John has recently been bereaved of his daughter, and when his wife Claire, a highly trained psychiatrist, goes missing he knows that he will do anything to find her and prevent a second major loss in his life. Thus we are treated to a clever, clever tale of John and Nia’s efforts to seek Claire, featuring John’s SEAL skills and Nia’s unique insight into the world of AI and computer hacking.
