The Quantum Grail is a twisting standalone thriller that focuses on the lengths we would go to to save those we love, and I was entertained right to the end.
A thriller full of twists as a former Navy SEAL faces rogue CIA and secret super computers while searching for his missing wife. The Quantum Grail by J.D. Redvale is a crime thriller filled with technology and twists. Former Navy SEAL John Mitcham is separated from his wife, but a note left at their house makes him suspicious and he starts a search for her. This search leads him to a CIA safe house and notorious young hacker Nia Banks, the hunt for Claire and four of her patients is a journey that becomes embroiled with government secrets, Russian operatives and stolen supercomputers. As I found out more about John, his harrowing military experiences, personal losses and motivations, I became emotionally invested in his story and the search for Claire. Nia is an interesting character that offers contradiction and balance to John - younger, more technically savvy and so offering more modern support to John’s typical, military-style, tactical mind. The storyline builds and breaks tension at multiple points as new twists and turns are revealed, which left me keen to see what might happen next as I got closer to the final, emotionally charged chapters. The Quantum Grail is a twisting standalone thriller that focuses on the lengths we would go to to save those we love, and I was entertained right to the end.
