LoveReading Says

LoveReading Says

A mystery with a paranormal twist to it. Catherine and Chance head to China for their honeymoon and to meet Chance’s Family.

I didn’t quite get into it at first. Perhaps because it was too character driven initially. However, as the book progressed and the murder part of the book started, I began to enjoy it more. It is well written and moves along at a nice enough pace.

Some great descriptions of China and Chinese culture.

Overall, I enjoyed this and thank you for the opportunity to read it.

The story begins as Catherine and Chance make final preparations for their wedding and then travel to China to explore and for Catherine to meet Chance’s family for the first time. This is a very character focused story, introducing us to people who then turn out to be connected with the bodies found later in the book and the character’s pasts.

There’s a lot of focus on Chinese culture, especially pertaining to newlywed traditions and the annual Ghost Night, which I found enlightening and really helped to establish the setting.... Read Full Review
