July 2017 Debut of the Month.
A simply told, yet dramatic and readable tale about a young man whose behaviour changes beyond all recognition after receiving a heart transplant. This is the first novel by the author, now writing as Lisa Stone, she is best known for her memoirs of the fostering world, writing under the name of Cathy Glass.
If you enjoy Cathy’s emotional and thought-provoking tales relating to the children in her care, then you will more than likely enjoy this fictional tale. Lisa Stone writes with a clear, uncomplicated style, yet the subject matter of personality changes after transplants is provocative and fascinating.
‘The Darkness Within’ delves into a fascinating theory, and stamps its mark in a startling tale full of impact.
