Gemma has lived half a life until now, and waits with bated breath to see whether her daughter will make contact. Award-winning author Debbie Johnson has created a fresh, modern take on the will-they, won’t-they novel, and it really works. The friendship on offer in this novel is heart-warming. The varied age range of the characters feels fully fleshed and ensures a meaningful depth. The plot doesn’t travel obvious lines, it teases and plays yet also explores painful and challenging times. Gemma is a wonderful character, she tells her own story and I found myself encouraging and supporting her, becoming her friend. I adored the ending and it brought a tear to my eye so this novel has been chosen as a Liz Pick of the Month. Forever Yours is a truly lovely and satisfying reading experience I can highly recommend.
