Lovereading view...

Here are ten short stories covering roughly two hundred years in the life of Magnus Bane, sitting alongside is an extra exclusive bonus tale which acts as the perfect encore. The start of each story begins with an extract and a page of illustrations, which brings a graphic novel style quality to proceedings. You will understand the enigmatic Magnus Bane, the only character to appear in all of ‘The Mortal Instruments’ and ‘The Infernal Devices’ novels, just a little bit more after reading these tales. Bane’s talent for finding trouble and his penchant for black hair and blue eyes often leads him into temptation and lands him in a pile of mess (sometimes of the smelly variety), oh and you may just find out why he has a cat. This would make a perfect present for fans, it feels as though you have been especially invited into a privileged viewing of Magnus Bane’s life, and it’s well worth it.

These novellas are co-written by Cassandra Clare, Maureen Johnson and Sarah Rees Brennan.

Synopsis

The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, Maureen Johnson

The perfect gift for Shadowhunters. This gorgeous illustrated paperback brings the 11 stories about immortal warlock Magnus Bane together in a handy smaller format for the first time.

A fan-favourite character from Cassandra Clare's Shadowhunter Chronicles, Magnus features in The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy and the movie of City of Bones. Magnus will never be able to tell all of his tales. No one would believe him. But these stories shed a little light on his often inscrutable character. They are stories he probably wishes had never got out.
