Sarah Broadhurst's view...

Mickey Bolitar and Co with more twists and thrills, the third in the series. Very plot driven, with little breathing space for the characters to develop. It is written for teenagers but I know Coben’s many fans will lap it up. It’s only less violent than his adult books and the protagonists are young, but beyond that this is a new Harlan Coben and that’s good news. The characters are further developed so you may wish to read the first two to appreciate this; they do follow directly on from each other. In this one we learn still more about Mickey’s father – I’ll say no more.

If you like Harlan Coben you might also like to read books by James Patterson, Linwood Barclay and C. J. Box.

Who is Sarah Broadhurst

The Good Book Guide logo The Good Book Guide Review. As his sales figures will attest, Harlan Coben’s reputation as one of the premier storytellers in American crime fiction is unassailable. With the latest, Found, were are in vintage Coben territory, and fans of the author will be pleased to see his protagonist Mickey Bolitar back in action (with not too much of the American sports connection which is sometimes a problem for Mickey’s British followers). Taking place early in Mickey’s life, the novel begins with his investigation into the tragic death of his father and the startling revelations that follow his explorations.

Synopsis

Found by Harlan Coben

It's been eight months since Mickey Bolitar witnessed the tragic death of his father. Eight months of lies, dark secrets and unanswered questions. While he desperately wants answers, Mickey's sophomore year of high school brings on a whole new set of troubles. Spoon is in hospital, Rachel won't tell him where he stands, his basketball teammates hate him ...and then there's Ema's surprise announcement: she has an online boyfriend and he's vanished. As he's searching for Ema's missing boyfriend (who may not even exist!), Mickey also gets roped into helping his nemesis, Troy Taylor, with a big problem. All the while, Mickey and his friends are pulled deeper into the mysteries surrounding the Abeona Shelter, risking their lives to find the answers - until the shocking climax, where Mickey finally comes face-to-face with the truth about his father.
