Poppet Jack Caffery 6 by Mo Hayder

Lovereading view...

Mass hysteria is gripping the patients of Beechway High Secure Unit in Bristol. Unit co-ordinator A J calls in the police and so DI Jack Caffery begins his sixth case. He is still investigating a missing person’s case from a previous novel but there is sufficient background here to carry you through both cases. Mo Hayder is especially good at writing dark, suspenseful but realistic storylines. Initially the short chapters that jump from one subject to another at a fast rate seem a tad confusing but the story draws you in and then holds on tight to the finish. Highly recommended for those who like a sinister, creepy, nightmarish tale.

If you like Mo Hayder you might also like to read books by M R Hall, Oliver Stark and Katia Lief.
