Love him or hate him, this star ‘personal’ detective Sidney Grice is certainly an interesting character. We are period, 1882, so a tongue-in-cheek, quirky, Victorian romp. Sidney’s ward, March, arrives to stay. Murders abound. She has a hunch she knows some answers but is dismissed for she is a mere girl! Of course she comes good. This is both a funny ha-ha and a funny peculiar tale. It begins a series which could be fun.
