The time span of this novel is so very close, there are elements that are so recognisable, that it ensures the jarring notes hit with pinpoint precision.
E. J. Swift is beautifully eloquent, she takes small moments and shares them with such clarity and feeling, that they become vitally important. The future, the present, the known, are taken and sent spinning out in a new direction. I found myself energised and despairing and hopeful. I loved how the two stories weave around each other, it is so beautifully and cleverly handled I just had to chose this novel as both a Liz Pick of the Month and LoveReading Star Book.
