A novel concentrating on the terrible effect of the death of a teenage boy on his family. He was killed in the Boxing Day tsunami in Thailand. The strain is too much for his parents' marriage and his siblings suffer badly, till into their lives comes a live in help a 'rent-a-granny', who suddenly everyone can talk to. This is a nicely woven story with lots of insight into family life, a poignant tale from a lovely author.
