If you are new to this series the books do stand alone but there are recurring characters so you may well want to start from the beginning before or after reading this one. A lovely tale of village comings and goings and the arrival of newcomers in the close knit community sets tongues wagging. Gentle, cosy entertainment.

If you like Rebecca Shaw you might also like to read books by Maureen Lee, Elvi Rhodes and Eve Houston.
