Flirty, unconventional and diverting, yet there is a darker deeper tone that really sets this fabulous novel apart. The somewhat audacious beginning sets the scene, allows you to settle in… don't get too comfy though! Within a short time it’s obvious that there’s far more below the surface than first appears.
Florence Love is different, not at all predictable and absolutely fascinating. Knowing that Louise Lee is a former investigator adds a certain piquancy to proceedings and she balances irreverent humour with sensitive poignancy quite beautifully. This is set to be the first in a new series, which is somewhat of a relief as ‘The Last Honeytrap’ is impressive, crisply original and verging on addictive. ~ Liz Robinson
