Sarah Broadhurst's view...

A rags-to-riches tale of workhouse Jane marrying her boss. It’s a lovely read full of joy and then Jane’s brother turns up. He escaped the workhouse aged 14 and turned to crime. Seeing how well Jane has done for herself gives him the idea of using her position for his criminal ways. Things go very wrong and the consequences are pretty devastating for all. So what began as a light, happy tale suddenly takes a dramatic turn. It is very good.

If you like Lyn Andrews you might also like to read books by Anne Baker, Maggie Ford and Annie Groves.
