Silencer (Nick Stone Book 15) by Andy McNab

Sarah Broadhurst's view...

Nick Stone is McNab’s ex-SAS now MI5 deniable asset in a long running series partly based on McNab’s own experience. This is the 15th in the series and one of the most personal as Stone’s partner, baby and the life he’s fought hard to create for himself are threatened and he must follow a trail of bad buys from Moscow to Moldova to Hong Kong to Mexico to save his cover, his freedom and his family. Big money is involved, farming body parts and Mexican politics all add to an action-packed plot as one would expect. Gripping, involving and with a trademark humour this is McNab at his best.

If you like Andy McNab you might also like to read books by Geoffrey Archer, Matthew Reilly and James Holland.

Synopsis

Silencer (Nick Stone Book 15) by Andy McNab

Nick Stone has always kept his job as ex-SAS trouble shooter at arms' length from his home life. But when his son falls dangerously ill and the doctor who saves him comes under threat from an old adversary, it is no longer possible. Life just got very personal. To stop his cover being terminally blown, he must follow a trail that begins in Triad-controlled Hong Kong. He is propelled back into the brutal world he thought he'd left behind. The forces ranged against him have guns, helicopters, private armies and a terrified population in their vice-like grip. Nick Stone has two decades of operational skills - but this time, that may not be enough...

About the Author

Andy McNab

Andy McNab joined the infantry as a boy soldier. In 1984 he was 'badged' as a member of 22 SAS Regiment and was involved in both covert and overt special operations worldwide. During the Gulf War he commanded Bravo Two Zero, a patrol that, in the words of his commanding officer, 'will remain in regimental history for ever'. Awarded both the Distinguished Conduct Medal (DCM) and Military Medal (MM) during his military career, McNab was the British Army's most highly decorated serving soldier when he finally left the SAS in February 1993. He wrote about his experiences in three books: the phenomenal bestseller Bravo Two Zero, Immediate Action and Seven Troop.

He is the author of the bestselling Nick Stone thrillers. Besides his writing work, he lectures to security and intelligence agencies in both the USA and UK. He is a patron of the Help for Heroes campaign.
