A Clockwork Heart Chronicles of Light and Shadow by Liesel Schwarz

A Clockwork Heart Chronicles of Light and Shadow

Science Fiction   eBook Favourites

Sarah Broadhurst's view...

Sequel to the stunning A Conspiracy of Alchemists which I thought was wonderful fun. This one is darker as mysterious forces and their own stubborn and wilful natures conspire to drive Elle and Marsh apart. If their love is stronger than magic then they should be able to defeat the lady in white and the mysterious clockmaker but alone it seems neither has the strength to succeed. And when terrible circumstances befall Marsh, their vampire and fairy allies are unable to help. The fog hides terrible secrets in the dark heart of Victorian London. The pace and passion of the writing are relentless, the characters charming and endearing, the world dark and intriguing. It is a treasure of a book.

If you like Liesel Schwarz you might also like to read books by Stephen Hunt, Mark Holder and G.W. Dahlquist.

It's the first site that I visit when deciding on the next set of books to buy. A particular treat is being able to download an extract.
