The Stolen Ones by Richard Montanari

Lovereading view...

Beware, not for the faint-hearted! We have Balzano and Byrne of The Killing Room picking up a cold case with little paperwork attached as the previous detective died suddenly of a brain aneurysm and was obviously ill when working on the case. Then there is a dead man with a spike in his back … and then there is Luther. This is a well-written, convoluted, multi-plotted, psychological thriller with lots of horror, gore and fights, even the bogeyman makes an appearance. You certainly won’t see the final twist coming.

If you like Richard Montanari you might also like to read books by P. J. Tracy, Karin Slaughter and Tim Willocks.
