The thirteenth issue of the Consolidated List of Products whose Consumption and/or Sale have been Banned, Withdrawn, Severely Restricted or not Approved by Governments contains data taken from PIC Circulars issued between December 2004 and December 2006. The Joint UNEP/ FAO Secretariat for the Rotterdam Convention on Prior Informed Consent (PIC) Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade publishes PIC Circulars every six months, containing notifications received from national authorities on the final regulatory action taken to ban or severely restrict a chemical. Information was received from 19 countries, six of them (Brazil, Côte d'Ivoire, El Salvador, Latvia, Romania and Surinam) reporting for the very first time on chemicals. It includes data on 18 new products, together with updated and/or new information on 113 existing products. In addition, updated commercial information is also included on available proprietary trade/brand names of chemicals, with the name and location of manufacturers.
