It took a little while for me to warm to Ava, she shuns intimacy, yet is a fascinating soul. As I read and sank into the pages, I got to know the family, their flaws and quirks, what made them tick. Caite Dolan-Leach flays bare feelings and emotions, yet she writes with a beautifully compassionate hand. With emails and letters laying a trail for Ava to discover, my mind continuously raced away, puzzling over the clues. With suspense nipping at the heels of the storyline ‘Dead Letters’ is clever, twisty and entirely captivating read.
