LoveReading Says
So, so beautifully easy to read, and it sits as a perfect murder mystery to attempt to solve from the comfort of your armchair. I have to say that: “Not now Alan.”, is perhaps my new favourite phrase. Elizabeth, Joyce, Ibrahim, and Ron are joined by new friends and foes as they research a cold case without a dead body. I know that some people have questioned the validity of celebrity authors. Quite simply, Richard Osman really can write, rather beautifully actually, readers wouldn’t be recommending his books so widely if he couldn’t. He has the fabulous ability to be able to mix murder and mayhem with friendship and laughter, not easy! I fell in love with his four septuagenarians from the very first book The Thursday Murder Club. I have no doubt that this, the third, will be just as popular as the first two. I think it’s going to be one of those series where each new book becomes my favourite until the next appears. Richard Osman has a wonderfully witty pen, he is also quite happy to poke fun at himself, and I smirked as Waitrose in Tunbridge Wells made another appearance. I had absolutely no clue as to how this case was going to be solved, and I love it when that happens. So, not only do I recommend The Bullet That Missed as a Liz Pick of the Month, it’s also a LoveReading Star Book too. It’s a smart, witty, and joyous murder mystery that shouldn’t be missed.

The Bullet That Missed Synopsis
A new mystery is afoot in the third book in the Thursday Murder Club series from record-breaking, bestselling author Richard Osman.
It is an ordinary Thursday and things should finally be returning to normal.
Except trouble is never far away where the Thursday Murder Club are concerned. A decade-old cold case leads them to a local news legend and a murder with no body and no answers.
Then a new foe pays Elizabeth a visit. Her mission? Kill. . . or be killed.
As the cold case turns white hot, Elizabeth wrestles with her conscience (and a gun), while Joyce, Ron and Ibrahim chase down clues with help from old friends and new. But can the gang solve the mystery and save Elizabeth before the murderer strikes again?
