"A dazzling book about loss, grief, addiction and sisterhood. Oh the sisterhood. A star of stars."
My first of Coco Mellors but it definitely won't be the last, I'll be diving into her debut Cleopatra and Frankenstein too, that's for sure. I love the way she writes. The way she so beautifully crafts the story, the relationships. With such poignance. I was hooked from the first pages and didn't want to let it go. I didn't want to let the sisters go. Every exceptional thing. Every broken thing.
Avery, the oldest. A recovering addict and successful lawyer living in Hampstead.
Bonnie, the champion boxer hiding in LA after a disastrous fight.
Lucky, the famous supermodel living in Paris but flitting around the world from shoot to shoot.
Separated since they lost one of their four, it's been a tough year for the family. Their family, which is the root of all comfort and chaos. Aren't they all?
Chapter by chapter we move from sister to sister, walking in their shoes, hearing their stories, following their journey since. A disastrous jumble of recrimination, addiction and denial.
As they find their way back, through the mire of grief, you are filled with hope for the future, hope for the family. And a new day dawns for the Blue sisters.

THE INSTANT SUNDAY TIMES TOP TEN BESTSELLER FROM THE AUTHOR OF CLEOPATRA AND FRANKENSTEIN
The Blue sisters have always been exceptional - and exceptionally different.
Avery, a strait-laced lawyer living in London, is the typical eldest daughter, though she's hiding a secret that could undo her perfect life forever.
Bonnie was a boxer but, following a devastating defeat, she's been working as a bouncer in LA - until a reckless act one night threatens to drive her out of the city.
And Lucky, the rebellious youngest, is a model in Paris whose hard-partying ways are finally catching up with her.
Then there was Nicky, the beloved fourth sister, whose unexpected death left Avery, Bonnie and Lucky reeling.
When, a year later, the three of them must reunite in New York to stop the sale of their childhood home, they find that it's only by returning to each other that they can navigate their grief, addiction and heartbreak and learn to fall in love with life again.
