LoveReading Says

Gorgeous, just gorgeous! This is a gentle, loving, beautiful romance set in Australia and I loved every single second of it. Gracie has severe amnesia after a car accident, escaping to the flower farm of her past, does she choose the safety of the people who know and love her, or start all over again?

The prologue sets the story up wonderfully, with just enough information to take up residence in my mind. I have to admit that once I started reading, I forgot that I was meant to be reviewing and just became a part of the story. I let the contents waft over me and through me, I became friends with Gracie and the people in her life, could smell the flowers, feel the emotions.

Vanessa Carnevale writes with a sensitive, heartfelt pen, she has the ability to put the feel in good. ‘The Memories of Us’ is a joyful hug of a book that reaches out, soothes, cares, and encircles with warmth - as I say, it’s all rather gorgeous!

A beautiful gentle romance with a twist. A great summer read that I would highly recommend

What a beautiful gentle story. It is very thought provoking. Gracie loses her memory after a car accident and doesn't recognise those around her. Gracie doesn't want anyone to tell her their version of her life and she can't remember her version so she leaves her current life and returns to her childhood home. What might simply be seen as running away is actually a very brave thing to do not knowing if your memory will ever return. There are moments in the book which are very moving and others funny.... A great holiday read, with a nice twist at the end. Thoroughly enjoyable and well written with empathy, understanding and an appreciation of the truly important things in our lives.

After a car crash, Gracie is left with total amnesia. She doesn’t recognise her best friend or her fiancé, or even remember how to tie her shoelaces. She calls off the wedding and escapes to the old flower farm that her mother left to her when she died.... Read Full Review

After suffering from amnesia following a car accident, Gracie decides to move away from everyone she knows in order to find out who she truly is without their opinions and memories influencing her.

After Gracie wakes up following a car accident, she cannot remember anything about her life. She does not remember her fiancée Blake, or that her mother recently died, or anything about her job as a stylist. Rather than relying on other people to provide her with information on who she was, Gracie decides to move to the countryside and find herself. She refuses to see anyone from her 'old' life apart from her best friend Scarlett and ignores the desperate pleas from her fiancée to meet up.

This is a really interesting idea, do you allow other people's memories and opinions to shape you, or forge ahead and discover things for yourself?... Read Full Review
