A family tale of sadness and sacrifice, of a child who ‘invents’ an invisible friend with interesting repercussions. I don’t want to tell you much more for fear of spoiling this unusual, sensitive and lovely book. She is such a clever author, you’ve got to read her, especially her first novel, PS I Love You.
