Author of Thornbirds with something completely different, a murder mystery, fast-paced with a great setting and a twist on the very last page, all highly satisfying. A lot of the action takes place in a research centre for neuroscience. In a large refrigerator used for storing bodies and parts of bodies of animals used for experimentation, a monkey ‘comes to life’ and in a panic rips open the bags awaiting incineration. Two of them contain human body parts. Naturally suspicion falls on the staff of the centre ….. truly unputdownable.
