Sarah Broadhurst's view...

Jack Ryan’s 13th adventure is published posthumously for Clancy died last month. Jack is the USA’s President serving his second term. His son, Jack Ryan Jr, is following his father’s footsteps and learning to be an intelligence analyst. He is currently posted to the city of London. The lad is investigating a Russian energy company. The search goes back to a time when Ryan senior was an agent so we get a dual-time adventure. If you put this down, and sadly the length, over 700 pages, demands that you do then it may take you a paragraph or two to place which Ryan you are following once you return! This is my only quibble for this is truly compulsive, mostly credible and certainly thriller stuff. It is almost as if Clancy kept the best for his swan song for it is an excellent read.

If you like Tom Clancy you might also like to read books by David Baldacci, Brad Thor and James Barrington.

The clue to the mystery lies with a most unexpected source: President Jack Ryan. Tom Clancy's Command Authority is a brand new full-throttle all-action adventure for 2013. It follows Threat Vector and Locked On as the newest Jack Ryan novel. Praise for Tom Clancy: There's hardly another thriller writer alive who can fuel an adrenaline surge the way Clancy can .
