A true family book, recipes that will appeal to everyone both in the preparing and the eating. There are dishes that children can tackle alone or ones where they can act as assistant cooks. It’s a good introduction to Italian everyday food with a leaning to Southern Italy, where Gennaro was raised.
Many of his own family recipes are included together with new ideas inspired by his children. I liked this a lot, Gennaro Contaldo’s enthusiasm and love of good food together with his family memories make this more than a plain recipe book. The range of dishes, a number of which I’ve tried and found very good, invite you to explore further – bread next for me, it looks delicious!
