Lovereading view...

Beautifully formed and gut-wrenchingly gripping, this is essential reading. Here at Lovereading we're glad to see the back of too much paranormal publishing and pleased to see a new theme - dystopian fiction - coming to the fore. The worry will be that it gets to be, like paranormal, an overpublished area in time but for the moment there are some really cracking books. The Other Life is absolutely no exception. Terrific characterisation and a setting so well portrayed that you can almost smell the world that Sherry and Joshua inhabit. With an incredible twist at the end which you absolutely will not know about until you read it this is an incredible debut novel not to be missed.

Synopsis

The Other Life by Susanne Winnacker

The Other Life: who we were before the virus. How we'll never be again.

It's been 3 years, 1 month, 1 week and 6 days since Sherry has seen daylight. When things went wrong up above, she was sealed off from the world in a bunker with her family. But when they run out of food, Sherry and her dad must venture outside. There they find devastation, desolation...and the Weepers: savage mutant killers. When her dad is snatched, Sherry joins forces with gorgeous but troubled Joshua - an Avenger, determined to destroy the Weepers. But can Sherry keep her family and Joshua safe, when his desire for vengeance threatens them all?

'An engaging dystopian story that’s already got me excited for the sequel, The Life Beyond. Definitely recommended to fans of the genre!' - Daisy Chain Book Reviews

'The plot was so amazing memorable and gory. And with shocking twist at the end that had my jaw hanging open as well as praying I had the sequel in my hands, The Other Life is a Spine Chilling, gory entrancing dystopian novel that I didn't want to end. Bring on the sequel The Life Beyond. Don't close your eyes. Watch out for the Weepers!' - The Dark Readers

I love reading because my cares & woes vanish for an hour or two whilst I read of the joys, adventures, lives of the characters in the book.

Love books. Love reading. Love reading books. And, here's the trick. Here's a website which caters for people like me.

Ian Harvey-brown

A well laid out site, I love the fact that is separates paranormal fiction from fantasy and horror, which other sites don't.

Jen Rainbow

Thanks to Lovereading I have discovered new writers and read books I would never had looked twice at - and enjoyed them.
