Suddenly A Murder

LoveReading Says

Super-rich young adults on the cusp of college. An indulgent post-high-school celebration in an art deco manor. Simmering background tension. The stage is set for a dazzling whodunnit…

Centred on Izzy, an aspiring journalist who was able to attend a fancy school as a result of her mom being a teacher there, Lauren Muñoz’s Suddenly A Murder is an outrageously gripping thriller. To mark the end of high school in style, Izzy’s best friend Kassidy has arranged for a bunch of friends to spend a week in Ashwood Manor, an opulent art deco pile located on an island.

With the group elegantly attired in 1920s garb, and heady cocktails flowing freely, Kassidy’s boyfriend is found dead with multiple stab wounds. The killer can only be someone on the island, and only one of them brought a knife.

As the narrative unfolds in the now-time of the investigation and the weeks leading up to the deadly, decadent art deco gathering, Suddenly A Murder keeps you guessing to the very end when a captivating crescendo plays out against a wild storm. Readers who loved One of Us Is Lying are also sure to love this.
