William Channing has a tried and tested MO. He stalks pretty girls and gets his mother to help him kidnap them and hold them hostage, in the hope that they will fall in love with him. Until his mother gets bored and kills them. His 17th victim is the beautiful and feisty Faith. After 2 weeks being held captive, Faith has had enough and manages to escape, ensuring William and his mother are imprisoned.
For the next 17 years, both Faith and William plan their revenge for when they meet each other again. Coming For You has a nice twist on the traditional serial killer-victim story. It's a fast-paced read with plenty of twists and turns. The characters are cleverly interwoven and you are not quite sure who to feel sorry for the most.
The ending nicely lines up a follow up book. The writing style is a little simplistic and reminded me of early Mark Billingham novels. I enjoyed the story very much and look forward to future titles from the author.
