I honestly don't know where I want to start with this review. There's just so much that needs to be said. A five star must read recommendation for me. I'll start with this book was hilarious in so many ways. Like snigger / laugh out loud funny. The kind of funny that has your family looking at you oddly while you read or people moving away from you on the train.
I loved Doreen, a Witch you should NEVER accept a snack from and the band of Coven Witches. It reminded me in many ways of reading a Terry Pratchett book or the Hitchhiker's Guide. Except set in London and Norfolk. With Witches. This was the author's debut novel and as well as being hilarious, this book was a brilliant contemporary fantasy with Witches, action and adventure and I loved it.
The plot was very different, and the fantasy aspect of this story took on a new direction based on the setting of a quaint English village, etc. This novel was definitely character based, with a few MCs (I loved Neil's humour) and bands of well written characters in the different settings as this book takes us between London, the Norfolk Hamlet and Italy.
