A great adventure story of two girls who decided to travel from Bangkok to Brighton in a Tuk-Tuk. We follow the story from first ideas through to all their perilous, humorous and fun-packed travels. The girls did it to raise money for the charity Mind and they certainly earned every penny they raised. An inspiring read.

Synopsis

Tuk-Tuk to the Road by Antonia Bolingbroke-Kent and Joanna Huxster

The inspirational tale of two girls' madcap overland adventure, driving a bright pink tuk-tuk from Bankok to Brighton.

Inspired by their personal experiences of mental health issues, they set out to raise £50 000 for Mind - and they're nearly there! From armed guards in Laos to landslides in China to marriage proposals in Russia, Tuk-Tuk to the Road is the complete story of their Thelma and Louise style odyssey. Includes stunning photography.

A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to Mind.

Reviews

`What a brave and marvellous adventure!
Stephen Fry

'A wonderful idea... Mental illnesses are painful and often hidden diseases which afflict millions of people. Thank goodness that there are those who want to help and thereby transform the lives of so many suffering in silence and hiding.'Melvyn Bragg, President of Mind'
