Intense and hard-hitting, the depths that freelance correspondent Mike Walker goes to in his investigations aren’t for the faint-hearted.
A great read for anyone interested in political fiction. Mike Walker has made it his mission to uncover and do his best to put a stop to the ethnic cleansing in Palestine, wars of attrition taking place around the world, and the corruption, femicide and cruelty allowed to take place. But people in powerful places have a lot to lose from Mike’s digging, and he and his loved ones may not be able to escape when they persist with their condemnation.
A powerful concept that is worryingly believable, people in power and privilege will stop at nothing to keep it, especially those whose power allows them heinous freedom to commit terrible crimes. It makes you think about the wars you hear about on the news and the government’s decisions whether to intervene or not. Is more than altruism driving those decisions? Hanna has used this with his investigation of the PMSCs to drive this political thriller.
Interesting and complex, this is one to read for political thriller fans.
