There is a large and wide range of characters, some pop in to say hello, others are more lasting, all add to the authenticity of a small town life. Josephine Moon takes the story in unexpected directions, subtly creating a feeling of reality to this lovely warm velvety tale. If the shop existed in reality, it would have queues out the door, the descriptions of chocolate are just heavenly.
