Sarah Broadhurst's view...

The sequel to Miracle on the 17th Green published in 2005 where Travis’ golf turned a corner but he loses everything else in his life. It is very untypical for a Patterson, short and happy. So now Travis is suspended for six months and becomes a caddy. A lad turns up at his place offering to shovel snow and Travis finds he is a golf natural and makes the boy a promise. Keeping it or not is the ‘inspirational’ side to this short tale.

Synopsis

Miracle at Augusta by James Patterson

Travis McKinley is living the life he always dreamed of. He was an ordinary man living an ordinary life, until a miraculous twist of fate led to him become a golf pro at the age of fifty and win the USPGA Senior Open. But recently Travis' good fortunes have taken a turn for the worse, and his game is falling apart. Then, drunk in a bar one night, he gets into a brawl with a fellow golf pro which is captured on camara and broadcast across America. Travis is hauled in front of the USPGA and banned from the tour for the rest of the season. With his dream life suddenly snatched away from him, Travis is forced to access how things got this bad, and how a person who has been so focussed on his own selfish needs can rediscover what is truly important.

Lovereading helps me decide what real people read.

Kerry Bridges

I love the newsletter with reviews of all the new books coming out. Can't wait to open it when it arrives in my inbox.

Rachel Aygin

Lovereading is an amazing place to be, the website is wonderful and to me if I'm sad I'll go here and it cheers me up!

Sophia Upton

I read new, exciting writers and established authors before publication and there is a great website full of brilliant books and opinions.

Lynda

A well laid out site, I love the fact that is separates paranormal fiction from fantasy and horror, which other sites don't.

Jen Rainbow

A great place to go to find your next literary escape, and where you don't have to judge a book by its cover!

Suzanne Beney

They are bright, breezy and eager to offer a great book, then genuinely listen/respect the review one writes.

Maggie Crane

It's the first site that I visit when deciding on the next set of books to buy. A particular treat is being able to download an extract.
