Miracle at Augusta by James Patterson

Sarah Broadhurst's view...

The sequel to Miracle on the 17th Green published in 2005 where Travis’ golf turned a corner but he loses everything else in his life. It is very untypical for a Patterson, short and happy. So now Travis is suspended for six months and becomes a caddy. A lad turns up at his place offering to shovel snow and Travis finds he is a golf natural and makes the boy a promise. Keeping it or not is the ‘inspirational’ side to this short tale.

If you like James Patterson you might also like to read books by Lee Child, Michael Connelly and C.J. Box.

Travis McKinley is living the life he always dreamed of. He was an ordinary man living an ordinary life, until a miraculous twist of fate led to him become a golf pro at the age of fifty and win the USPGA Senior Open. But recently Travis' good fortunes have taken a turn for the worse, and his game is falling apart. Then, drunk in a bar one night, he gets into a brawl with a fellow golf pro which is captured on camara and broadcast across America. Travis is hauled in front of the USPGA and banned from the tour for the rest of the season.
