Bravo by Greg Rucka

Sarah Broadhurst's view...

The second in the Jed Bell spy series following Alpha but it does stand alone. It is classic save-the-country-from-a-terrifying-assault tale with Bell and his team after a terrorist leader, the Architect. Both men have beautiful yet deadly undercover lovers who use all their feminine wily ways to extract information. It’s good ‘boys own’ escapist stuff, great for a holiday read.

If you like Greg Rucka you might also like to read books by Stephen Leather, Brad Thor and Alex Berenson.

Synopsis

Bravo by Greg Rucka

In the wake of a failed attack on America's premier theme park which put his own daughter at risk, Special Forces operator Jad Bell is sent after the man who arranged it. But it soon becomes clear that capturing him is just the start: his employer, known only as the Architect, has already set something far worse in motion. At the centre of it all are two women deep under cover. One is an American spy whose intel is the only hope they have, but who has lived a lie for so long she cannot be trusted. And the other is a woman as beautiful as she is deadly, already living in the States, and poised to execute the Architect's plans at a moment's notice. The stakes are even higher, the clock is ticking, and this time the enemies are hiding in plain sight...

Reviews

Praise for ALPHA . Cynical hero, unrelenting villains and a story told at rocket-fuelled pace...has a speed and conviction that sets it apart. The perfect airplane read Daily Mail A tough, action-filled thriller that starts at a gallop and never slows down Canberra Times Hands down, the most exciting, adrenaline-pumping, butt-kicking novel I've read in years. Christopher Reich 'Pulse-pounding...Rucka mixes suspense and an alarmingly realistic plot with ease.
Publishers Weekly This lean, mean thriller with just the right amount of character development and unexpected complications will appeal to all who enjoy this genre but particularly to readers who like a strong hero along the lines of Lee Child's Jack Reacher. Library Journal'
