A truly sensational thriller; intelligent, pacey and unusually beautiful. It borders on the supernatural, taking you just as far as “suspension of disbelief” will allow, and is certainly not just your ordinary cop-chases-serial-killer. Disparate characters drawn from the seething streets of Detroit; a cop, a tramp, an artist, a journalist, a DJ and more; are drawn together by the insatiable, impossible dream that things could be better. It’s not just good, it’s beautiful. Impressive writing, compelling characters, short chapters, fast-paced, all the ingredients of a masterpiece. Highly recommended. ~ Sarah Broadhurst
