Better off Dead by Tom Wood

Sarah Broadhurst's view...

Victor the assassin is known to Tom Wood fans and loved, newcomers need not worry about earlier books, just start here and then read them all, they’re great. We get 450 pages of action, narrow escapes, clever self-defence moves and precautions in the face of overwhelming power! It is a classic story of the journey of an innocent girl being driven to trust a ruthless psychopath, their relationship is cleverly drawn. Personally I think there is perhaps a bit too much random shooting in the streets of London and some city details are inaccurate but the plot is fast and furious in a terrific read.

If you like Tom Wood you might also like to read books by Stephen Leather, Lee Child and Robert Ludlum.

Win a signed copy of stunning debut Blue Light Yokohama

We have 10 signed copies (using signed book plates) of Blue Light Yokohama, a stunning debut novel. It is a beautifully plotted police procedural set in Japan by Nicolas Obregon, a new British author. Evocative and serpentine, this marks the debut of a fresh new voice and a remarkable maverick detective with a difference.
