Tuf Voyaging by George R. R. Martin

Lovereading view...

This is not in the same league as his Games of Thrones Ice and Fire series but if you’re a fan you’ll find them interesting. They appear to be for a younger reader but then he did write them some years ago. They are stories about an ecological engineer, a space trader whose real love is for cats. Light, humorous and great fun with some fine descriptive passages and further insights into Mr Martin’s mind I would certainly recommend them to fans.

If you like George R. R. Martin you might also like to read books by Stephen Donaldson, Robin Hobb and Joe Abercrombie.

Tuf Voyaging by George R. R. Martin

Haviland Tuf is an honest space-trader (one of the few), and he likes cats. So how is it that, despite being up against the worst villains in the universe, he has become the proud owner of the last working seedship, pride of Earth's Ecological Engineering Corps? We'll leave that aside for now - just be thankful that the most powerful weapon in space is in good hands, hands which now control cellular material for thousands of outlandish creatures. With his unique equipment and powerful spacecraft, Tuf is set to tackle the myriad problems that human settlers have created during their colonisation of far flung worlds.

I read new, exciting writers and established authors before publication and there is a great website full of brilliant books and opinions.

The selections are so varied and the reader reviews are so helpful. A fantastic website for those who love books.

They are bright, breezy and eager to offer a great book, then genuinely listen/respect the review one writes.
