Balancing Act by Joanna Trollope

Lovereading view...

Susie and her husband have been married for nearly forty years. She keeps her family close with their three daughters working with her in her very successful pottery business. Susie hates change. As a child she was abandoned by her parents leaving her grandparents to bring her up. Now suddenly a stranger turns up at her factory in Stoke looking for her and the whole family dynamics change. It is her father. Susie is powerless to stop the avalanche of change that ensues. This is one of Joanna Trollope’s best books, she is so good at family; at the emotions, interactions and fears. Highly recommended.

If you like Joanna Trollope you might also like to read books by Jane Fallon, Anita Shreve and Susan Howatch.
