What makes Ford's novels so gripping is that there is little plot explained, rather it is driven through the characters – in the trade, it's called ‘Hard-Boiled'. Red Tide is the 4th in the ‘Corsoâ series but only feel you have to start at the beginning if you are feeling especially purist! This time itâs a terrorist plot using modified ‘Ebolaâ virus and the real potential of catastrophic loss of life – gripping stuff.

Previous G M Ford ‘Corsoâ novels : Fury, Black River, Blind Eye

If you like G M Ford you might also like to read books by Michael Marshall, Harlan Coben and Michael Connelly.

Synopsis

Red Tide by G M Ford

Frank Corso, disgraced journalist and successful true crime writer, finds himself evactuated from his friend Meg Dougherty's first photographic display when terrorists strike the Seattle bus tunnel. As the city grinds to a halt, Corso is determined to find a way into the tunnel to discover for himself what has happened, and what he sees is more shocking than he could ever have imagined ...Meanwhile Meg, unaware of the nightmare unfolding across town, suspects she is being pursued by her former lover, and returns home to a horrific scene of her own. Corso soon pays the price for his snooping when he is hauled in by the police. Reunited in custody with the frightened Meg, he must elude the SPD and pursue the terrorists himself before an infinitely more devastating attack annihilates his city ...
