I am the granddaughter of Squadron Leader Archibald Stuart Charles Stuart-MacLaren OBE MC DFC AFC (1892-1943) and have been researching his life and career for many years. My writing experience includes being the editor from 2004 to 2009 for Leadership Matters, a quarterly magazine published by the Centre for Leadership Studies at the University of Exeter. I also had an article published by Aeroplane Magazine in April 2009 about the ending of my grandfather's attempted world flight in 1924. In addition to writing about my grandfather, I have given many illustrated talks about the world flight by invitation to Probus and Rotary Clubs across the UK, and I was invited to give several talks in Vancouver and on Vancouver Island, Canada, where the flight ended.
