Dr. Poonam Sharma is an associate professor in Geography and Director, Centre for Disaster Management Studies,ShaheedBhagat Singh College, University of Delhi. She has an experience of more than two decades of teaching and research. Her research expertise includes urban geography, urban and regional planning, smart city, developmental studies, environmental studies, statistical methods in geography, remote sensing and GIS. She has published work in national and international journals. She has two books to her credit which includes one authored book titled Structure and Growth of Mega Cities: An Inter-Industry Analysis published by Concept Publishers and Sustainable Smart Cities: Challenges and Future perspectives as first editor published by Springer.
