Linda Brogan is an award-winning playwright. She has been writer-in-residence at the National Theatre, Contact Theatre, and the Whitworth Art Gallery. Linda won the 2001 Alfred Fagon Award for her play The Well (Contact Theatre).

Her other plays include: Speechless (Edinburgh Fringe First Award, Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh); Black Crows (Contact Theatre); Ghost Town (Clean Break); and Basil and Beattie (Royal Exchange/Liverpool Everyman).
