The Author: Anna Maria D'Amore is a lecturer and translator at the Unidad Académica de Letras at the Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas «Francisco García Salinas» in Mexico. She received her Ph.D. in Hispanic studies from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom, and has published several articles as well as translations, including literary translations of works by less known contemporary Mexican authors. Her research interests include translation studies, sociolinguistics, and second language acquisition.
