She is the former director of the Office of Indian Education at the U.S. Department of Education. Her debut novel Firekeeper’s Daughter was an instant NYT bestseller and has won numerous prizes in the UK and US. It is soon to be a Netflix film. Angeline lives in southwest Michigan but considers home to be Sugar Island.
