I loved Violet’s connection to her family home and her beloved horse Firestorm, Jack and Emily’s relationship to their families and Mason’s sweet relationship with his friends, neighbour and cat Pounce. It made the closing of the story even more impactful. Even though I was stunned in the final pages we are also left with the seeds of hope and one final message of connection to the world around us. An engrossing Sci-fi read.
